Recent routine - everyday makeup products...

These products have been my recent go-to makeup products for casual days. I start off with the Garnier Tinted eye roll in "Medium" which has been a recent purchase so I would need to try it a few more times to set my opinion on the product. For my base I use my favourite foundation L'oreal True Match in the shade W4 "Golden Natural" and apply it with the Real Techniques expert face brush. (For a detailed review on the L'Oreal True Match foundation, check out my previous blog post)

I then use my Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in NW30 for my under eyes. As this is the only Mac concealer I have used so far, I quite like it but would prefer it in a shade lighter just to brighten up my under eye area a bit more. I then set my face with my Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in "Medium" and top it off with my fav Mac fix plus.
Now starting with the eyes, I first use a eye primer to get rid of the oil on my eyelids and I've been using the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I then apply L'Oreal Superliner in "black" and a coat of the Rimmel Glam eyes mascara and two coats of the L'Oreal Voliminous Carbon Black.

For my cheeks I've been really liking the 17 blusher in "First Flush" and further highlighting my cheeks with the MUA "Undress Your Skin" highlighter. Finally I use the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in shade 07 for my lips.

Favourite drugstore foundation: L'Oreal True Match

I have hopped to many drugstore foundations in the past and it took me the longest time to find the correct foundation for my skin type which is dry. I bought the L'Oreal True Match Foundation after seeing how beautiful it looked on a employee at Superdrugs. Unfortunately, she matched me to the complete wrong shade which was C3 and I only realised this when I got home. However she did change it for me when I went back, although it is not Superdrug's policy. Lol lucky me!

L'Oreal True Match has a wide range of shades, available for all complexions and undertones. The shades all begin with either C, W or N. C being cool toned, W warm toned and N for those who have neutral undertones. As an asian I obviously have warm undertones and therefore, she re-matched me to W4 Golden Natural, which was the perfect shade for me being a Nc30 for Mac foundations.

I can completely say that this foundation has honestly been the best drugstore foundation that I have ever used. It is easy to blend, very long lasting and gives a really nice dewy finish which I like as foundations with a matte finish don't work well with my dry skin.

Before applying the foundation, I use a hydrating moisturiser and I occasionally use a primer. I then apply the foundation with the Real Techniques expert face brush and blend it in further with the Real Techniques buffing brush. I apply concealer and lightly powder my face and top it off with my favourite Mac Fix Plus, which helps give a flawless finish!

I would really recommend this foundation to anyone as I know many people with oily skin who love it just as much as I do. This foundation retails at Superdrugs and Boots for £9.99 which is the average price for a good drugstore foundation as Borjois Healthy Mix and Maxfactor foundations retail for £9.99 and above.

If you are looking for a affordable drugstore foundation, then give this product a go and do let me know what you think of it!

Bye guys.. Anika xo
