Favourite drugstore foundation: L'Oreal True Match

I have hopped to many drugstore foundations in the past and it took me the longest time to find the correct foundation for my skin type which is dry. I bought the L'Oreal True Match Foundation after seeing how beautiful it looked on a employee at Superdrugs. Unfortunately, she matched me to the complete wrong shade which was C3 and I only realised this when I got home. However she did change it for me when I went back, although it is not Superdrug's policy. Lol lucky me!

L'Oreal True Match has a wide range of shades, available for all complexions and undertones. The shades all begin with either C, W or N. C being cool toned, W warm toned and N for those who have neutral undertones. As an asian I obviously have warm undertones and therefore, she re-matched me to W4 Golden Natural, which was the perfect shade for me being a Nc30 for Mac foundations.

I can completely say that this foundation has honestly been the best drugstore foundation that I have ever used. It is easy to blend, very long lasting and gives a really nice dewy finish which I like as foundations with a matte finish don't work well with my dry skin.

Before applying the foundation, I use a hydrating moisturiser and I occasionally use a primer. I then apply the foundation with the Real Techniques expert face brush and blend it in further with the Real Techniques buffing brush. I apply concealer and lightly powder my face and top it off with my favourite Mac Fix Plus, which helps give a flawless finish!

I would really recommend this foundation to anyone as I know many people with oily skin who love it just as much as I do. This foundation retails at Superdrugs and Boots for £9.99 which is the average price for a good drugstore foundation as Borjois Healthy Mix and Maxfactor foundations retail for £9.99 and above.

If you are looking for a affordable drugstore foundation, then give this product a go and do let me know what you think of it!

Bye guys.. Anika xo
